Walnut Paneer Masala
Step-by-step recipe:
▪️Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
▪️Add 2 sliced onions, 2 tbsp chopped garlic, 2 tbsp chopped ginger and 2 green chillies. Sauté for two minutes.
▪️Add 2 sliced tomatoes and sauté for two minutes.
▪️Add 12-15 California walnuts and sauté for a minute.
▪️Cool completely and transfer to a blender. Blend them to a fine purée. Keep aside.
▪️Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
▪️Add 15-20 California walnuts. Fry them. Remove and keep aside.
▪️Add whole spices to the same pan. Sauté until they turn fragrant.
▪️Add 1 chopped onion. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
▪️Add the prepared purée and mix.
▪️Add salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp red chilli powder and 1/2 tbsp coriander powder. Mix everything well. Sauté until oil separates.
▪️Add water and mix. Cook for 5 minutes.
▪️Add paneer cubes, fried walnuts and 1 tbsp kasuri methi. Gently mix everything.
▪️Cook for a minute.
▪️Serve hot with roti or paratha.
