Shahi paneer recipe to add a burst of flavours to your Diwali celebrationโค๏ธ๐ช
Step-by-step recipe:
โช๏ธAdd 3 onions, 3 tomatoes, 12-15 garlic cloves, 1 inch ginger, 2 green chillies, 5-6 almonds, 12-15 cashew nuts, salt, 1 tsp red chilli powder and butter. Give it a quick stir.
โช๏ธAdd water. Cook till the tomatoes get mushy.
โช๏ธCool completely and transfer to a blender.
โช๏ธBlend them to a fine purรฉe. You can sieve the purรฉe. Keep aside.
โช๏ธHeat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add butter.
โช๏ธAdd whole spices, chopped ginger and green chillies. Saute for few seconds.
โช๏ธAdd the prepared purรฉe. Stir well to combine. Sautรฉ for 7-8 minutes.
โช๏ธAdd salt, 1 tsp red chilli powder and 1/2 tsp coriander powder. Stir to mix well. Sautรฉ for a minute.
โช๏ธReduce heat to low. Add 1/2 cup whisked curd. Stir well.
โช๏ธCook for 2 minutes.
โช๏ธAdd 1 tsp garam masala powder and 1/2 tbsp kasuri methi. Mix everything well.
โช๏ธSaute for 2-3 minutes.
โช๏ธAdd water and mix. Simmer for two minutes.
โช๏ธAdd 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/2 cup cream, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder and 15-20 saffron strands.
โช๏ธMix everything well and simmer for two minutes.
โช๏ธAdd paneer and mix.
โช๏ธServe hot with roti, naan or paratha.
