Step-by-step recipe:
โช๏ธWash 1ยฝ cups basmati rice and soak it in water for 20 minutes, drain and keep it aside.
โช๏ธHeat 2 tbsp ghee in a pot.
โช๏ธAdd whole spices (1 bay leaf, 4 green cardamoms, 1 black cardamom, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 3 cloves and 10-12 black peppers).
โช๏ธAdd 1/2 tsp cumin seeds. Sautรฉ until they turn fragrant.
โช๏ธAdd 1/3 cup cashew nuts. Fry for few seconds until it changes colour.
โช๏ธAdd 1 tbsp grated ginger and 3-4 chopped green chillies. Sautรฉ until raw smell goes away.
โช๏ธAdd 1 cup green peas and sautรฉ for a minute.
โช๏ธAdd soaked rice and gently mix everything.
โช๏ธAdd salt and 1/2 tsp garam masala powder. Sautรฉ for a minute.
โช๏ธAdd 2 ยฝ cups of water and mix.
โช๏ธAdd lemon juice.
โช๏ธ Cover the pot with it’s lid.
โช๏ธCook until the water is completely absorbed.
โช๏ธOpen the lid and gently fluff the rice.
โช๏ธGarnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
โช๏ธServe hot.
