Matar Pulao

Matar Pulao!!😍

Step-by-step recipe:
▪️Wash 1½ cups basmati rice and soak it in water for 20 minutes, drain and keep it aside.
▪️Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pot.
▪️Add whole spices (1 bay leaf, 4 green cardamoms, 1 black cardamom, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 3 cloves and 10-12 black peppers).
▪️Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds. Sauté until they turn fragrant.
▪️Add 1/3 cup cashew nuts. Fry for few seconds until it changes colour.
▪️Add 1 tbsp grated ginger and 3-4 chopped green chillies. Sauté until raw smell goes away.
▪️Add 1 cup green peas and sauté for a minute.
▪️Add soaked rice and gently mix everything.
▪️Add salt and 1/2 tsp garam masala powder. Sauté for a minute.
▪️Add 2 ½ cups of water and mix.
▪️Add lemon juice.
▪️ Cover the pot with it’s lid.
▪️Cook until the water is completely absorbed.
▪️Open the lid and gently fluff the rice.
▪️Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
▪️Serve hot.
